Mudug (Raxanreeb online) – The Puntland administration have once again spoken about the dispute over who is in charge of the construction project of the Galkayo-Harfo road in Mudug region.

The construction project of the Galkayo-Harfo road is disputed between the Federal Government of Somalia, which wants to directly manage it, and the Puntland government, which refuses to manage the project from Hamar.

The Minister of Public Works and Transport of Puntland, Farah Awad Jama, who spoke about the dispute, said that the project will not be managed by anyone other than Puntland, which will eliminate the desire of Villa Somalia for the project.

Minister Farah Awad also said that they will make every effort to implement the construction of the road and showed the commitment of the Puntland government.

However, the construction of the road in Galkayo and Harfo has been stuck for some time in a dispute between the Puntland government and Villa Somalia, which is seeking to manage the project and award the contract in Mogadishu.
