The Minister of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development, Hon. Mohamud Beenebeene, convened an investors roundtable meeting that was attended by over 100 CEOs, investors, government officials, and diplomats, aimed at deepening the private sector awareness of priority economics and accelerating national transformation.
Minister Beenebeene highlighted that the ministry is working to ease and facilitate a private sector-led growth blueprint.

“The increasing ability of the nation to attract substantial foreign direct investment signals an improving and more secure investment climate,” he said.

He called upon the private sector leaders, business executives, and international investors to work closely with the ministry of planning to fully implement the National Transformation plan and realize our shared development goals.

The recent reforms in the financial sector, where Somalia is working around the clock to modernize the banking and finance sector, have increased transparency and reduced risk.

The ongoing operations to neutralize the militant in Somalia, which have reported progressive success in stabilizing law and order, have opened the door for more investments.
