Mogadishu, SomaliaThe Somali National Army (SNA), in coordination with local forces, successfully eliminated four Al-Shabaab militants during a strategic raid in Camaara, located in the Mudug region.

The operation targeted a residence linked to Ismaaciil Beerdile, identified as a senior Al-Shabaab leader responsible for the group’s so-called “court” in the Galgaduud region. Military sources confirmed that the raid was carefully planned and executed, resulting in the seizure of four rifles and a significant cache of ammunition.

Although additional casualties among the militants were reported, exact numbers have not been disclosed.

“This operation underscores the effectiveness of our joint efforts with local forces,” a senior military official stated, emphasizing the importance of continued collaboration to maintain security and stability in the region.

The raid in Camaara is part of ongoing efforts by Somali forces to dismantle Al-Shabaab’s networks and disrupt their operations in central Somalia. Military officials have described the mission as a significant blow to the group’s influence in the area.

Somalia’s security forces have intensified operations in recent months, aiming to weaken Al-Shabaab’s grip on key regions and ensure lasting peace for communities affected by the group’s activities.
