LOWER SHABELLE, Somalia — In a significant push to enhance regional security, Somali Armed Forces, including the 64th Brigade of the 7th Division, the 60th Division, and the Wanlawain Police Force, carried out a coordinated operation against Al-Shabaab militants across multiple areas in the Lower Shabelle region.
The joint operation covered key villages such as Aybuley, Isgad, Hoo Hook, Fulaley, Garfale, Dibati, Qabibiyow, Tuhur Qaboobey, Warahley, Ali Boonad, Lugud Jiliwayne, and Baladul Amin, effectively clearing them of militant presence.
Commander Ali Abdullahi Halac of the 64th Brigade and Wanlawain Police Commander Dhamme Abdulle Issac called on local residents to support military efforts, emphasizing that collaboration between the community and security forces is vital for sustained peace.
