President Firdhiye Appoints New Cabinet for Northeastern Somalia Administration
The President of the Northeastern Somalia Administration, Cabdulqaadir Ahmed Aw Cali (Firdhiye), has announced the appointment of a new Council of Ministers tasked with facilitating the implementation of the administration’s priorities and improving public service delivery.
According to Article 72 of the Northeastern Somalia Administration’s Provisional Constitution, the president—in consultation with his deputy—is authorized to appoint members of the Council of Ministers in order to enhance the effectiveness and decentralization of public services.
In his statement, President Firdhiye directed the newly appointed ministers to fulfill their responsibilities diligently and expressed his confidence that they will work towards bringing government services closer to the people and achieving the administration’s development goals.
