An advance delegation accompanying the Presidents of Puntland and Jubaland is expected to arrive in Mogadishu in the coming hours, according to informed sources.
The delegation consists of ministers and members of the presidential security teams for Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni and Jubaland President Ahmed Mohamed Islam Madobe. The officials are travelling separately from Garowe and Kismayo and are expected to be accommodated at locations designated for the two regional leaders.
Sources also indicated that Presidents Deni and Madobe are due to arrive in Mogadishu tomorrow. While full details of their travel arrangements have not been publicly disclosed, both leaders have been formally invited to participate in a high-level political meeting scheduled to open tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Mogadishu continues to host a series of consultations involving senior officials of the Federal Government and representatives of opposition groups. In parallel, a joint technical committee from both sides is holding ongoing meetings aimed at reinforcing the agreed framework and direction of the upcoming talks.
