The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, held a high-level meeting with the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in Cairo, where the two leaders discussed a range of bilateral and regional issues.
According to a joint statement issued by the Presidencies of Somalia and Egypt, the discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations, advancing strategic cooperation between the two countries, and enhancing coordination on issues of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Abdisalam Abdi Ali, the Director General of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), Mahad Mohamed Salad, as well as other senior officials.
The talks reaffirmed the depth of relations between Somalia and Egypt and highlighted the shared commitment of both governments to expanding cooperation in support of regional stability and common priorities.
