The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, embarked on an official visit to the city of Baidoa today. He was warmly received by the President of South West State, H.E. Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed (Laftagareen), along with various representatives from the community.
The Prime Minister’s visit is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation between the Federal Government of Somalia and the South West State. Key discussions will focus on accelerating the fight against extremist groups, as well as addressing political, security, and economic development issues.
During his stay in Baidoa, the Prime Minister is expected to hold meetings with community leaders, traditional elders, and local officials to discuss the overall situation in the country and explore ways to enhance cooperation for regional development and peacebuilding efforts.
