Baidoa — The President of South West State, Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen, on Monday chaired a high-level security meeting focused on reinforcing stability and intensifying ongoing security operations across the region.
The meeting brought together the Minister of Security, the Commander of the Darwish Forces, and senior security officials. Discussions centered on accelerating coordinated security operations, strengthening collaboration among security agencies, and consolidating gains made in recent counter-insurgency efforts.
During the session, the president emphasized the need for sustained action against Al-Shabaab, which continues to undermine stability and development in parts of South West State. He directed security institutions to enhance operational effectiveness and maintain heightened vigilance to ensure lasting peace.
Senior Darwish Force commanders presented a comprehensive briefing on the prevailing security situation and outlined progress achieved in recent operations. They reaffirmed their commitment to safeguarding civilians and maintaining law and order throughout South West State.
The meeting concluded with strategic resolutions aimed at strengthening the regional security framework and improving coordination among security institutions within the administration.
