MOGADISHU, Somalia – Somali police have successfully apprehended 23 individuals accused of serious criminal activities in a major operation conducted in Mogadishu, according to an official police statement.
The Banadir Regional Police, working closely with local communities, carried out the operation, targeting suspects involved in crimes such as murder, assault, robbery, rape, and drug trafficking. “The Banadir Regional Police, in collaboration with the people of the capital, have detained 23 individuals accused of serious offenses, ensuring they now face justice,” the statement emphasized.
This operation is part of an ongoing effort by Somali security forces to combat rising crime rates and reinforce safety and stability in the capital. By addressing these issues head-on, authorities aim to rebuild public confidence and create a more secure environment for Mogadishu’s residents.
