GAROWE — The Puntland State Government has deployed a new batch of police officers to reinforce security in Garowe, the state capital. The officers have recently completed specialised training designed to enhance their capacity to respond to crime and emerging security threats.
During a handover ceremony, the Puntland Police Commander met with the officers being replaced and announced that they will also receive further refresher and skills-upgrade training to improve performance and align with new operational standards.
Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni praised the newly deployed forces, expressing confidence in their capability, knowledge and readiness to deliver effective results on the ground.
Officials say the new unit received modern and technology-driven training that matches current trends in policing, allowing them to prevent and respond more effectively to criminal activity and security risks across the city.
