Former Somali Minister of Aviation and current Member of Parliament, Fardowsa Osman Egal, has officially announced her resignation from the Justice and Solidarity Party (JSP).
In a statement shared on her official Facebook page, Egal confirmed that she has formally stepped down from the party, where she previously served as the Secretary for Petroleum and Minerals. She stated, “As MP Fardowsa Osman Egal, I have resigned from the Justice and Solidarity Party (JSP), where I held the position of Secretary for Petroleum and Minerals.”
Her resignation comes amid growing reports of internal political shifts within the party, with indications that several senior leaders and officials are reconsidering their positions and affiliations.
Egal’s departure follows a series of earlier exits by party members, further highlighting signs of instability within the JSP. Observers note that the continued wave of resignations may point to deeper structural challenges facing the party as it navigates an evolving political landscape.
