President of the North-West Regions administration, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi “Cirro,” has concluded a series of consultations concerning a planned reshuffle of his Council of Ministers, according to sources familiar with the process. The anticipated changes are expected to result in the dismissal of several ministers from their current positions.
Sources indicate that President Cirro has assessed the performance of certain members of his cabinet and concluded that some have not demonstrated sufficient impact in their roles, particularly in terms of public engagement and visibility within society as well as in the broader political sphere. This evaluation is said to have informed the decision to undertake the cabinet reshuffle.
The forthcoming changes are also expected to introduce new figures into the Council of Ministers. Among those likely to be appointed are individuals who played a prominent role during President Cirro’s election campaign and contributed significantly to his victory, but who have since maintained a relatively low profile in the political arena.
The planned reshuffle is widely interpreted as part of an effort by the president to enhance the effectiveness of his administration and strengthen the performance and public presence of the government.
