The Turkish Ambassador to Somalia, Alper Aktaş, has reaffirmed Turkey’s firm support for Somalia’s unity and territorial integrity.

Speaking to the media in Las Anod, the capital of the North Eastern State Administration, Ambassador Aktaş stated that the Government of Turkey remains fully committed to standing alongside Somalia and supporting its cohesion and stability.

He emphasized that Ankara’s position is grounded in a clear objective: the emergence of a united and cohesive Somalia, noting that Turkey continues to prioritize initiatives that contribute to this goal.

Ambassador Aktaş further remarked that Somali unity and solidarity send a powerful message, describing the occasion as historically significant and reaffirming Turkey’s enduring partnership with the Somali people.

The Turkish ambassador is among several foreign envoys attending the inauguration ceremony of the North Eastern State Administration. Turkey has reiterated its support for Mogadishu, underscoring its commitment to safeguarding Somalia’s national unity and territorial cohesion.
