BAIDOA— South West State President Sheikh Aden Mohamed Nur Madobe chaired the first meeting of the newly appointed Council of Ministers, with discussions focusing on improving public service delivery, strengthening accountability and accelerating the implementation of development programmes.

President Madobe instructed cabinet members to prioritise essential public services, promote genuine reconciliation, enhance administrative transparency and ensure effective coordination among government institutions.

During the meeting, ministers presented the initial plans and priorities of their respective ministries and pledged to work collectively in implementing the policies and strategic objectives of the South West State administration.

The cabinet also discussed measures to improve cooperation among ministries, raise the quality of government services and expedite development projects aimed at improving the lives of communities across South West State.

The Council of Ministers received a detailed briefing from the South West State Auditor General on government-owned assets, including their management, documentation and oversight.

President Madobe urged cabinet members to serve the public with integrity, unity and responsibility. He said strong institutional cooperation was essential to achieving sustainable development, improving security and strengthening effective governance throughout South West State.
