North East (Raxanreeb Online): The North East Administration has called on the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) to pay the salaries of its security forces, following the reported failure of a plan by the Federal Government to deploy federal forces into Puntland.

MP Kilwa said the North East forces need the Federal Government to provide their salaries, linking the request to the ongoing political and security developments in Puntland.

The statement comes amid continued political tensions between the Federal Government and Puntland, particularly over security forces, administration, and the distribution of powers between the central government and federal member states.
