Somali Army Commander Meets Military Officials to Strengthen Security in Middle Shabelle

Mogadishu (Raxanreeb Online) – In a critical effort to enhance national security, the Commander of the Somali National Army (SNA), General Odowaa Yusuf Raage, held a special meeting with senior military officers to discuss ongoing operations against Al-Shabaab and strategies to reinforce stability in key regions.

The meeting primarily focused on military activities in Middle Shabelle, where government forces have been engaged in intense battles with Al-Shabaab militants. Discussions centered on ways to intensify operations, improve coordination, and protect civilian communities from insurgent threats.

According to sources, high-level security discussions also took place in Mogadishu and Jowhar, where officials explored new strategies to counter Al-Shabaab’s movements and prevent their expansion in Middle Shabelle. Military officers attending the meeting shared crucial intelligence reports, detailing the group’s recent activities and the challenges faced by troops on the ground.
