Somali Forces Recover Bodies After Ceeldheer Attack, Launch Pursuit Operations

Ceeldheer– Somali government troops have recovered additional bodies of Al-Shabaab militants on the outskirts of Ceeldheer following Saturday’s attack on the town in Galgaduud region.

The Ministry of Defense said the Somali National Army, supported by local fighters, is carrying out wide-ranging operations to secure the area and pursue militants who fled into rural zones after the clashes.

“Search operations are ongoing, and the pursuit will continue until all threats in Galgaduud are eliminated,” the ministry said in a statement.

Meanwhile, several soldiers wounded in the fighting have been evacuated to Mogadishu, where they are receiving treatment at the Somali National Army Hospital.

The attack highlights the continued threat posed by Al-Shabaab, despite intensified government offensives across central Somalia.
