MOGADISHU, Somalia – Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, welcomed Sudan’s Acting Ambassador, Ammar Ahmed Babiker, to the Ministry’s headquarters on Monday.

The meeting underscored the close and brotherly ties between the two nations, as they explored ways to deepen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The leaders also took time to discuss the ongoing situation in Sudan and broader regional challenges. Minister Fiqi expressed Somalia’s strong support for the Sudanese people, emphasizing the importance of protecting Sudan’s unity and preserving its national institutions during this difficult time.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to working together to strengthen relations and address shared challenges, reinforcing the bond between their nations.
