The Somaliland Ministry of Mining and Energy has signed an agreement with Emirates Industrial Laboratory, a UAE-based company, to establish the region’s first dedicated mining laboratory. This facility will focus on analyzing minerals and precious stones extracted from Somaliland.

The new lab aims to overcome challenges faced by local mining companies by providing advanced testing and analysis services. It is expected to contribute significantly to the region’s economic growth, offering local businesses improved access to reliable data on mineral quality and enhancing export potential.
