GALGADUUD— President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, has arrived in Galinsoor town in the Galgaduud region as part of his ongoing visit to areas across Galmudug State.

President Mohamud, accompanied by Galmudug State President Ahmed Abdi Kariye (Qoorqoor), received a warm welcome from hundreds of residents who lined the streets of Galinsoor to greet the delegation.

Addressing members of the public at an open gathering, President Mohamud called on local communities to prioritise the preservation of peace, stability and peaceful coexistence.

He stressed the importance of strengthening unity among communities and ensuring that Galinsoor remains a safe and peaceful area where all Somali communities living in the town and surrounding areas can coexist in a spirit of brotherhood, mutual respect and cooperation.

The President’s visit comes as part of broader engagements with communities in Galmudug, focusing on peace, reconciliation, security and strengthening relations between the Federal Government and local populations.
