Somalia’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ali Mohamed Omar Balcad, held a bilateral meeting in Amman with Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi.
The talks focused on enhancing cooperation between Somalia and Qatar, with particular emphasis on security, economic partnership, and development projects.
According to the Qatar News Agency, the two officials reviewed a number of issues of mutual interest and discussed ways to further deepen relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, Qatar reaffirmed its support for Somalia’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, underscoring Doha’s commitment to strengthening its longstanding partnership with Mogadishu.
Qatar is considered one of Somalia’s key regional partners, with cooperation between the two countries spanning security, economic development, and infrastructure-related initiatives.
