The Federal Government of Somalia has strongly condemned the attack on the residence of the UAE Ambassador in Khartoum earlier this week. Reports indicate that Sudanese forces were involved in the assault, although they have denied the allegations, instead blaming the Rapid Support Forces for the incident.
In an official statement, Somalia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its unwavering support for the UAE, stating that the attack violated international laws and diplomatic protocols. Somalia reaffirmed its stance against such actions, emphasizing its commitment to upholding global legal standards.
The UAE swiftly responded, condemning the attack as a “shameful and cowardly act.” The assault, allegedly carried out by a Sudanese military aircraft, caused significant damage to the Ambassador’s residence, prompting a strong statement from the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Sudanese military officials have refuted the claims, denying involvement in the attack and placing blame on the Rapid Support Forces. The incident has further escalated tensions in the ongoing conflict within Sudan.
