Opposition Forum Sends Delegation to Nairobi for Talks with Jubaland, Puntland Leaders

Nairobi (Raxanreeb Online) – Reliable sources confirm that the Opposition Rescue Forum has today dispatched three of its members to Nairobi, where the leaders of Jubaland and Puntland are currently based and politically aligned with the Forum.

Talks between Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni, Jubaland President Ahmed Madobe, and representatives from the Opposition Forum are expected to focus on Somalia’s political landscape and the most effective framework for negotiations with Villa Somalia.

Leaders from Puntland and Jubaland have been holding parallel meetings to discuss ways of restoring their strained relationship with the Federal Government and finding solutions to the challenges that have created mistrust in recent months.

Meanwhile, Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, in his recent address at the opening of the 7th session of Parliament, reiterated that the Federal Government is ready to address the grievances of Puntland and Jubaland. He emphasized that both sides should return to the negotiating table to advance Somalia’s state-building process.
