Somalia’s President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has appointed Hani Abdi Gas as his Advisor on Youth and Sports Affairs, the presidency announced in a statement.

Hani brings a wealth of experience in youth advocacy, having worked with both international and local organizations to champion the voices of Somali youth on various platforms. Her career has been dedicated to empowering young people through meaningful initiatives, policy development, and programs aimed at creating opportunities and fostering growth.

President Mohamud expressed his confidence in Hani’s ability to make a real difference, pointing to her track record of dedication to social development. He emphasized the importance of her role in helping shape initiatives that will support and inspire the country’s youth.
